Our Preschool VPK program prepares children for kindergarten with engaging lessons and structured learning. We have been a VPK provider since the program began in 2005, offering part-time classrooms and full-time classrooms with wrap-around care. VPK is for children who turn four on or before September 1 of the upcoming school year.
Our approach
At this stage children develop important academic and social skills. We focus on early literacy, math, problem-solving, and independence in a nurturing environment where children build confidence and a love for learning.
Frog Street Pre-K
This research-based program helps children develop in key areas:
- Language & literacy: Vocabulary, early reading, and writing skills.
- Math & science: Numbers, patterns, and simple experiments.
- Social & emotional growth: Teamwork, independence, and problem-solving.
- Creative exploration: Art, music, and pretend play.
- Physical development: Coordination through movement and outdoor play.
A typical day
- Morning circle: Songs, calendar review, and group discussions.
- Learning centers: Hands-on activities in math, literacy, and science.
- Outdoor play: Active movement to build motor skills and social connections.
- Meals & snacks: Nutritious food and table manners.
- Rest time: A quiet break to recharge.
- Enrichment: Art, music, and storytelling.
- Closing circle: Reviewing the day and preparing for tomorrow.
